Based off of Daisy Buchanan. In ‘The Great Gatsby’. Daisy is treated as a living jeweled trophy rather than a human being.  Daisy functions as an object to be obtained, simply because her adherence to beauty standards connotes wealth. Popular opinion judges her for choosing Tom over Gatsby, but is she really wrong for claiming personal agency by staying in her marriage?
